Updating your bios
This guide is intended to assist you in locating BIOS updates and chipset drivers to ensure that your system is in top working order.
The primary function of your system's BIOS is to recognize and initiate all of your system's hardware so it is ready to be used.
The simplest way to update a BIOS is via USB, and today in the Ge Force Garage we'll show you how. To update your BIOS, first check your currently installed BIOS version.
You can also locate your current BIOS while in Windows.
Update from Intel® Deployment Assistant (IDA)The Intel® Deployment Assistant software is easy to use and is included on the "Intel® Server Deployment toolkit" CD shipped with the system.
You can also download a CD image of the software from Download Center.
The best way to accomplish this is to keep your motherboard's BIOS and chipset drivers up to date.
Many motherboard manufacturers release updates that resolve crucial issues related to system crashes and/or slow performance.
